A panel presentation is a small group in which the individual members interact and present differing viewpoints on a debatable topic. The purpose of a panel presentation is to be able to hear a wide-range of perspectives on a given topic and to hear support and reasons for those positions from a group of experts.

Rules for Panel Discussions

• Maximum 10 number of panelists participated in one panel discussion.
• Maximum time for panel discussion is 45 minutes.
• Languages for discussion are English, Hindi or Punjabi.
• There is One Moderator for each panel of discussion.
• Before ending, each panelist has opportunity to provide closing remarks.
• At end moderator will conclude their views for topic of discussion.
• Maximum time for Questions are 02 minutes.

Advertisements are the primary way of gaining the attention of customer in today’s competitive world for any company. It is like the cover of the book a customer is going to read and even if some may say don’t judge a book by its cover we still buy a book because of that. This is the chance for the budding advertisers to present to the world their inner creativity. In this competition the participants will be required to make an advertisement on the product or a situation which will be provided them before hand.

Criteria of structure(Bridge)

• No rubber-band should be used, only thread should be used with fevicol.
• Making of Bridge should be explain technically by one of group member.

Rules

• Languages: Hindi or English.
• Duration for Advertisement: 3-5 Minutes.
• Team Composition: 5-6 Members.
• Ad should not be copied from any source.
• Name of the team should be mentioned.
• Kindly refrain from displaying obscenity, violence, prejudice, defamation etc.
• The decision of Judges will be final and binding.
• In case participants exceed the time limit Judges will be free to disqualify the team.
• Participants are supposed to come with their own props.

Registration Rules

• All undergraduate students enrolled in an AICTE approved engineering program of ECE/EE/EEE/ELE are permitted to enter the contest.

Round 1: Elimination Round

• All the registered teams shall have to appear in this objective questions based quiz.
• The quiz will consist of two sections: Section A & Section B.
• Section A will consist of 10 questions from the concepts of “Basic Electronics & Electrical devices”.
• Section B will consist of 15 questions from “Basic circuit designing concepts”.
• Maximum Time allowed to attempt this quiz will be 30 minutes.
• Each question will carry 1 mark. There will be a negative marking of ¼ per incorrect answer.
• 05 teams will be shortlisted to appear in “Round 2: Design Round”.
• In case of tie, the team that will score higher in section B of the quiz would be selected for next round.

Round 2: Design Round

• The shortlisted teams would be given with a question paper of circuit schematic based design problem comprising of two sections: Section A: Circuit Analysis (carrying 10 marks) Section B: Circuit Designing (carrying 20 marks)
• There will be no negative marking in this round.
• Participating teams shall bring scientific calculators of their own.
• Participating teams will be provided with all the necessary equipments & components at the venue.
• Maximum Time allowed to attempt this design problem will be 1 hour.
• In case of tie, an additional circuit analysis based problem carrying 5 marks may be given.

Rules

• The Competition is for 3 hours and will start at 10:30 A.M.
• One participant (or a team of two) is allowed.
• The participants have to take the picture within the stated time frame.
• Participants should have their own digital camera or DSLR’s.
• Pictures clicked with a mobile phone will be disqualified.
• The participant will have to submit his/her best 3 pictures of the fest
• The winner will be decided on the basis of best photo and caption; the caption shall explain the relevance of the picture by itself. The participants won’t be given a chance to explain to the judges.
• The participants will have to report camera and picture details (place taken, exposure, resolution etc.). No editing is allowed.
• Decision of the judges will be final and binding.

Rules for E-Poster Making

• The time allotted for e-Poster Making is 60 minutes.
• Slide/Poster size: 24X36 inches.
• Recommended font size: 28pt Times New Roman.
• Software Allowed: Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop and Coral Draw.
• Each Poster shall be introduced by a slide including the title and name of the author.
• An e-Poster must not exceed one slide.
• Topic will be declared on spot.
• Participants can use internet only for downloading images.

Rules for Paper Poster Making

• The time allotted for poster presentations is 90 minutes.
• Poster size: A2 sheet (42.0cm x 59.4cm).
• Participants should have their own sheet, colours or other required materials.
• Topic will be declared on spot.
• Each Poster shall be introduced by including the title and name of the author.
• Use of internet is strictly not allowed.

• Every team will be given with same problems.
• Contestants in the same team can discuss the problems they are assigned. However, they should do so in a quiet way and without disturbing contestants in other teams.
• Each team will be allowed to use only a single computer and must write and test their programs on that machine, wholely within the contest room.
• Moreover, each team has to solve the problems given on the spot in a given time.

Team Specifications

• Each team must consists of three members.
• All the registered team will have to undergo a preliminary round in which the teams will be asked to answer a particular set of quiz questions.
• The top five teams will be shortlisted for the Final Stage Quiz.

On Stage Quiz :Round 1 (Questioning)

• Each Team would be asked two questions.
• 10 marks for each correct answer, No negative marking will be there.
• If a team cannot answer the question than the question would be forwarded to the next team.
• Answering time is 30 seconds only.

On Stage Quiz :Round 2 (Buzzer Round)

• This round would be the buzzer round.
• 10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong answer.
• Answering time is 30 seconds only.

On Stage Quiz :Round 3 (Audio Visual)

• This round would be the audiovisual round.
• 10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong answer.
• Each team would be asked two audiovisual questions.
• Answering time is 30 seconds only.
• If a team cannot answer the question than the question would be forwarded to the next team.

• After you have submitted the soft copy, a panel of judges will go through your material and if you are shortlisted to give the presentation, you will be notified.
